- Account
- A record of information that is associated with a member. For example; login name, password, etc...

- Account Status
- The state of an account. Accounts can be in one of two states, pending or active.

- Active Account
- A state that an account is in when a member has replied to the confirmation email. When member accounts are set to active, email communication may begin between SecuritySeer and the member's email address.

- Confirmation Email
- An email that is sent to a member after they have registered for the first time or after they have changed their email address. A confirmation to the confirmation email is required before any coorespondence is started between SecuritySeer and the member. This procedure is in place so that people can not register using third party email addresses.

- Member
- A member is a person that registered at SecuritySeer.

- Pending Account
- A state that an account is in when a member has not replied to the confirmation email. When a member's account is pending, no emails are sent to the member's email address.
